Audio Tour

The free Emersons Green Audio Tour invites families to discover the fascinating history on their doorstep. Spanning Emersons Green, Mangotsfield, and the surrounding areas, this 3.7-mile circular route features 14 points of interest, celebrating everything from local mining heritage and chocolate production to giant earth sculptures and cutting-edge supercomputers.

Starting outside Emersons Green Library, the 90-minute walk is brought to life through audio commentary and interviews. Simply scan the QR codes along the route with your mobile phone to hear the stories behind the landmarks you pass every day.

The Walk

Discover trains, mines, giant sculptures, chocolate and more on this 3.7-mile narrated circular walk from Emerson’s Green Library. The Emersons Green Audio Tour will take between 90 minutes and two hours to complete. Allow more time if you plan to stop at any location.

The Audio

Look out for the signs on the route, and use your phone to scan each of the QR codes with your camera. Hear a mix of historical stories, facts, and interviews that bring our local landmarks to life.

About

Emersons Green Audio Tour was originally produced for the local community by Lenni Langreiter as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award in 2024. Emersons Green Town Council has since established the tour as a permanent fixture in the community.
